We're delighted to announce that the smart festival will take place on Saturday 12th September 2009. Held at Mercedes-Benz World, Brooklands, this exciting event is one of Europe's largest gatherings of smart owners and enthusiasts. It is organised by thesmartclub, in association with smart UK. The change in name from 'Destination Brooklands' to 'the smart festival' reflects the popularity of the event, the theme and the vast array of 'smart' related activities taking place.

At the smart festival 2009, there will be a host of smart-themed games, displays, entertainment and competitions throughout the day. In 'smartville', you'll have the opportunity to browse and buy accessories, see exhibits for BRABUS and the smart electric drive and enjoy live entertainment. You can experience the smart art corner and get eco driving tips, as well as learning about destinationsmart.co.uk, our new social community for smart fans and owners. In the 'smart trading' section, visit thesmartclub and smart traders and get some refreshments at the food concessions.

You'll also be able to join in a wide range of 'smart activities', from ping the ring, egg and spoon and the smart balloon race to dancing with the Flava hip hop dance troupe. You can have your face painted, or your face drawn by a skilled caricaturist. But that's not all - funfair attractions, crazy golf, giant games, a smart Wii, a smart giant jigsaw, will all be there to enjoy on the day. 'Competition cars' is sure to be a particular highlight, with prizes awarded at 3pm for the best dressed, best kept and most modified smart vehicles.
